హైకోర్టు ఆదేశాలతో రాష్ట్ర ఎన్నికల కమిషనర్ డాక్టర్ ఎన్. రమేష్ కుమార్ నేడు ఏపీ గవర్నర్ బిశ్వభూషణ్‌ హరిచందన్‌ను కలిశారు. హైకోర్టు తీర్పును గవర్నర్‌కు విన్నవించి వినతిపత్రం అందించారు. కోర్టు ధిక్కరణ పిటిషన్‌పై మూడుసార్లు సుప్రీంకోర్టు స్టే నిరాకరించినా ఏపీ ప్రభుత్వం ఎస్‌ఈసీగా రమేశ్‌కుమార్‌ను నియమించక పోవడంపై గవర్నర్‌ను కలిసి వినతిపత్రం అందజేయాలని నిమ్మగడ్డను ఏపీ హైకోర్టు సూచించిన విషయం తెలిసిందే. గవర్నర్ సానుకూలంగా స్పందించారని డాక్టర్ రమేష్ కుమార్ ఒక ప్రకటనలో తెలిపారు. ప్రకటన పూర్తి పాఠం:

In the light of observations of the AP High Court in CC No 565 of 2020 , I have called on His Excellency Governor of Andhra Pradesh and represented my case for facilitating assumption of charge forthwith as State Election Commissioner. The Governor gave a patient and sympathetic hearing and assured me that he would look into the issue represented . I am optimistic of an early and favourable outcome as well as resolution of the issue through the intervention of Hon’ble Governor .
