SUBJECT: Request for intervention in the matter of State Election Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh Sh N. Ramesh Kumar
This is in continuance of our earlier communication to your good self dated 27-3-2020. As you are aware the state Government had issued an ordinance which was later challenged in the Hon High Court of Andhra Pradesh and stands quashed on 29-5-2020. Against the order of the Honourable High Court the State government had preferred an appeal in the Hon Supreme Court of India which has also declined to grant “stay” to the the order of the Honourable High Court on 10-6-2020, thereby reinstating Shi N. Ramesh Kumar as the state election commissioner of Andhra Pradesh.
Accordingly, We request your good self to intervene in the matter to implement the Hon Supreme Court’s order and enable the State Election Commission to discharge its constitutional obligations.
