ఇటీవల స్వర్గస్తురాలైన తన తల్లి బందా సరోజని జ్ఞాపకార్థం ఆమె 73వ జయంతి సందర్భంగా 3 రోజ్ ట్రైబ్, ఎస్ కె ఎన్ ఫ్యామిలీ స్వచ్ఛంద సేవా సంస్థలతో కలిసి అమెరికాలోని మిడిల్సెక్స్ కంట్రీ ప్రాంతంలో అవసరమైన వారికి ఆహార పదార్ధాలను సరఫరా చేసినట్లు సునీతా బందా తెలిపారు.
బంధువులు, స్నేహితుల నుంచి మొత్తం 18 వేల అమెరికన్ డాలర్ల విరాళాలు సేకరించడంతో బాటు సోమర్సెట్ లోని వడ్తల్ థామ్, మన్మోత్ జంక్షన్ లోని స్వామి నారాయణ టెంపుల్ వద్ద ఆహార పదార్ధాలను విరాళాలుగా సేకరించారు. ఇవన్నీ కలిసి 54వేల మందికి ఆహారంగా సరిపోయని సునీత తెలిపారు.
కరోనా వైరస్ విజృంభిస్తున్న సమయంలో ఎంతో మంది ఒక పూట ఆహారం కోసం వేచి చూస్తున్న సమయంలో సునీతా బందా తీసుకున్న ఈ నిర్ణయాన్ని ఎస్ కె ఎన్ ఫౌండేషన్ ఎగ్జిక్యూటీవ్ డైరెక్టర్ నవీన్ మెహరోత్రా, డైరెక్టర్ మీనామూర్తి అభినందించారు.
It gives me utmost pleasure to share the success of the food drive with my 3 Rose tribe and SKN family, in honor of my mother Sarojni Banda’s memories. This initiative started with Moti ma’s blessings, Dr. Naveen Mehrotra’s support and Dr. Meena Murthy’s guidance. With your loving support we were able to collect donations of $18,000 and 4,345 lbs of food, which can serve close to 54,000 meals. Special thanks to Dr. Sunil Parikh, volunteers at SSAI, Vadtal Dham Temple at Somerset and Swami Narayan Temple at Monmouth Junction for your generous addition to our food collection. This is a testimony that collectively our efforts can make a difference, especially now that we are living in the COVID catastrophic crisis. Thank you all for your support in standing with me in this community service. I am so grateful to all of you for your extreme generosity!
